BWG Srl. have exercised their option to purchase 2,500,000 shares at 11p in consideration for their part in the successful applications for five licences in Italy. The deal was agreed in 2008 and published in the AIM document on the 29th of September 2008. The press release today (below) provides for formal notification to the London Stock Exchange as the licences applications have been successful. San Leon Energy Plc ("San Leon" or the "Company") The Board of San Leon announces that the Company has issued 2,500,000 new ordinary shares of Euro 0.05 each ("Shares") in the Company to BWG s.r.l. ("BWG").  This follows exercise by BWG of an option which was granted to BWG to purchase up to 2,500,000 Shares at 11p in consideration for work undertaken by BWG in relation to the successful application for five licenses in Italy, being the three offshore permit applications off the coast of Sicily and two onshore permit applications in the Po Valley previously detailed in the announcement dated 10 March 2009. Application for admission to trading on AIM of the Shares has been made and is expected to become effective on Tuesday 5 May.  Following Admission, the total issued share capital of the Company will be 273,829,367 ordinary shares of Euro 0.05 each.
